Client Testimony

Our client on this project, having recently moved to the area and purchased this property was seeking to tailor the property they had purchased to their requirements which would include the design and construction of an equestrian store to their specifications and an extension to their new home. You can read the case study for the home extension project here.

Our team of designer, project and construction managers worked together with the client to produce the drawings, obtain planning permission, technical details and building control. Our in house construction team went on to the construction phase of the project and were involved right through to completion of the on-site works.

Project

The first port of call for this client was to review their requirements with our design manager Tom Nellist. Following scheduled meetings including a site visit, we developed a design to the client’s specification as shown in the images here of the completed project. The second part of this clients project being the extension/alteration to their existing property will commence in 2022.
Once Tom had successfully obtained planning permission we produced the structural engineering and building regulation details for the construction team to provide a fixed cost estimate against. Following receipt of the quotation, the client issued approval to proceed. Once on-site, we undertook the usual site strip, foundation, steel frame, floor slab, cladding and external works including drainage connection to existing dyke and services from existing on-site supplies.

Conclusion

This project was a great demonstration of the resources available to clients seeking to appoint a local company who can undertake design and build projects using in house design and construction skills and capabilities.
