Project

After surveying and evaluating each of the possible projects for our clients, they decided to proceed with a scheme to address their rear retaining wall and fence, which had grown delapidated and was in need of some remediation.

To consolidate the retaining wall we first removed the top course of blockwork, which for the most part had come loose and was beginning to lose its efficacy in retaining the land. We then dug & poured a concrete strip foundation on the clients’ side of the wall, which formed a fixing point for our new top course of

blockwork. Now tied into a concrete foundation, this new blockwork will provide more than adequate retention to our clients’ land for the forseeable future.

The upgrades to the fencing were aestethically motivated rather than functional. We removed the old timber fence before installing a 25 metre run of metal weave fencing, which matches other areas of the property where it’s been installed. The new fence will eventually rust to complete the finish and match the existing.

Conclusion

It is always great to receive phone calls from clients wanting to explore further projects with us following a good experience. We were very happy with the results and look forward to future returns to this property to undertake the other developments.
